There are endless rabbit-holes that you can go down. Most of us, in this game that we love, have found ourselves overwhelmed — either trying to do everything, or unsure of where to begin.
Your well-being is the most important thing, so please do not feel stressed or intimidated by your journey. There is no single right way to reach any goal, whether it is crafting, fighting, or participating.
There are many members in Myrgan Wood who are willing to help you on your way. We’ve all been new and even our most talented experts had to start at the beginning, too. Ask questions, be willing to make mistakes, and come at your quest earnestly. In time, you may be surprised when someone seeks you for your advice.
In the meantime, the SCA has an excellent portal that’s been refined by decades of discovering how to alleviate the frustrations of new members. We want this game to be fun, safe and accessible.

There, you will find groups in our community to cater to specific interests, whether it is clothing, crafts, archery, rapier, heavy combat, socialising, history, trip-planning, etc. Whatever your interests or needs, there are members who can put you on the right route to get you started, remove or circumvent obstacles, and to encourage your progress.
