Rapier Championship

Hear ye, hear ye! The Myrgan Wood Champion of Rapier Combat seeks a worthy replacement for his office. Behold his requirements and tremble!

Format:

Round robin followed by semi-finals and finals. Refight doubles once, subsequent doubles are counted as a loss for both parties. Round-robins will be pooled if turnout is high.

Round-robin: single pass, to the death.

Semi-finals: best of three.

Finals: best of five.

Weapons allowed:

Round robin: Any and all weapons that each fighter is authorized to use (Single sword, defensive object, offensive secondary, two handed sword and spear).

Semi-finals: as round robin.

Finals: Single sword, two handed sword, defensive object, offensive secondary.

Finalists MUST use a single one-handed sword on at least one pass in the final round.

Should a fighter be weighed, measured and not found wanting, they shall inherit the regalia of the rapier champion of Myrgan Wood. May a new defender of the baroness be found and may their gallantry match their fashion.
