A & S Championship Tournament 2026

Good day you fine persons!

This October at Myrgan Wood Anniversary there will be a competition to determine my successor as the barony champion of Arts and Science.

Here are the parameters for this year’s Myrgan Wood A&S championship:

Looking for one entry per participant of any craft types that are food related or eating related but are not food. (examples might be an embroidered napkin, a painting of an apple, or a clothing item one night wear to a feast)

And when I say related, I mean you need to have a reason that it is related. That reason doesn’t need to be Ironclad by any means, tenuous justification is very welcome.

The format for the tournament is that entries will be judged as usual using the rubric to determine the top two contenders.

At a later point in the schedule, the top two entrants will proceed into the Erics with their processions as normal for a championship, they will be heralded, and in the final they will present their entries to each other in the presence of the judging panel.

The two contestants will discuss their entries, methods, and research. They will determine who is the victor with civility and chivalry.

In the event that the two finalists are unable to determine which of them is victorious, they are welcome to appeal to the panel of judges for their opinions to help them in their determination.
