Competitions and Championships!

Good People of Myrgan Wood

Lend me your ears, your voices, your instruments.

It is time to choose my successor as Baronial Bardic Champion. Skald the Hall approaches and with it my time as champion is coming to an end.

The compitition is as follows:

Choose Two! That’s right 2 performance pieces in whatever medium you wish. I want you to entertain us. It does not have to be period, favorite pieces to perform such as the ones that bring you joy. I would love to hear them.

HE Roxanne laid this out wonderfully so I am copying her words.

1. All entrants shall have a paid membership to SCA Inc. and maintain the same during their tenure as a Champion of Myrgan Wood.

2. All entrants shall be willing to run or arrange for an individual to run a tournament in approximately one year’s time to choose a successor.

3. All entrants shall be willing to display a piece of regalia to show they are a Champion of the Barony of Myrgan Wood, in the event they should be deemed a Champion of Myrgan Wood.

4. All entrants shall be willing to run or arrange for an individual to run any minor tournaments at a Myrgan Wood event, as part of fostering participation in their particular field, if called upon, in the event they should be deemed a Champion of Myrgan Wood.

5. All entrants shall be willing to serve behind the Myrgan Wood Thrones as Champion, in the event they should be deemed a Champion of Myrgan Wood.

A couple other things.

You do not have to submit a letter of Intent. If you choose to do so that is fine.

You do not need to have an inspiration, but if you do that is also fine.

Those that are members of the Barony and or Blood of the Wood May compete.

Please do let myself, and Their Excellencies Baron Alexios and Baroness Amya know if you wish to vie.

Yours in Service to the Dream

Lady Siobhán Tadghan, champion of Bardic

Good Gentles of the Wood and Beyond

I’ll be hosting an Arts and Sciences competition at Skald the Hall!

To enter bring your current/most recent A&S project with minimal Documentation (on a 3X5 inch index card, I’ll provide some at event).

Minimal documentation must answer these 3 questions:

What it is

What inspired it

How you made/ are making it.

Judging will be done by votes by the populous (marble voting).

Can’t wait to see all your Wonderful entries!
-Burnuild Frasyer, Champion of Arts and Science

My good people’s of the fair barony and beyond,

Skald the Hall is 2 weeks away. And we are celebrating all things Bardic. Both with a championship and the much amusing and entertaining Bard Off.

2 Bards Enter, only 1 survives.

Prizes will be awarded for overall bard winner, and of course the ever lovely Best Death. Someone needs to oust our welsh mouse from her reigning death wins.

Bring your performances. Come laugh and be joyful, and have a blast. It’ll be awesome!

Let myself know if you’d like to participate.

YIS

Lady Siobhán Tadghan, champion of Bardic
